About Aum

Aum Jewels derives its name from two sources: the scientific name for gold, Aurum, and the one-word mantra Aum (pronounced om), the primordial creative sound of the universe.

The store offers shoppers a radical new perspective on jewelry design. Store owner and Chief Designer Paul Syjuco, a G.I.A.-trained gemologist and jewelry designer whose work has been exhibited throughout Asia, places great importance on making sure a real connection exists between a piece and its owner. In line with this philosophy, the shop highlights its commission services that allow women to enjoy meticulously-designed, handcrafted jewelry created especially for them; however, Aum Jewels also offers a range of ready pieces available for purchase in-store.

Bespoke Jewelry.

Aum Jewels loves the process of designing and making a unique piece of jewelry to celebrate a commitment or to commemorate an important occasion. Jewelry designer Paul Syjuco will work with you to produce a custom made item.

Designs.

Design inspiration may start with the slightest hint of an idea, like a favorite color or a favorite place. We respect the integrity of design. We will not copy any previously made item.

Fees.

Because we do not charge an additional design fee, special orders are not more expensive to create. An initial 50% deposit is requested to begin an order. The remaining balance may be paid before the order is collected. The deposit is non-refundable on cancellation.

Completion.

It takes approximately four to six weeks from confirmation of all design details and the initial deposit. Allowances can be made to meet tight deadlines. Please let us know your important dates so we can achieve them for you.

Materials.

You are welcome to bring your own stones or jewelry for designing (or re-designing). We keep a variety of gems at hand. If we don't have what you want, we will find it for you.
