Well, at least Lovi Poe's wearing white. But on her ears are a ribbons of pave set diamonds in yellow gold and danglers of blue topaz briolettes. The drops are again detachable and the ribbon-like top can be worn as is or with another drop of choice.
Tons of Christmas parties and gatherings happening left and right as early as now! Great to wear this piece to one of them. Or all of them. That's because the components of these earrings detach and are reconfigurable. You can wear these as is, or wear the black diamond stud along with the keishi pearl drops. Or just dangle the natural colored diamond cluster. Or wear the black diamond studs as is. And if you have more drops in your jewelry box, then all the more combinations you have.
Inset are dangling earrings with black diamond studs, natural fancy colored diamonds and keishi pearls set in rose gold.
Well, not quite. Emeralds belong to the Beryl family. In pure form colorless as with most minerals. Diamonds range from colorless to tinted and further on to fancy colors because of specific impurities. So having impurities isn't really such a bad thing per se. Chromium gives emeralds their characteristic green color (top colors have a tinge of blue). Iron is responsible for the aquamarine's light bluish green color; which resembles that of the sea hence its name. There is yellow or golden beryl, sometimes called Heliodor, depending on its saturation (light yellow to deep gold). Also caused by iron. A combination of manganese and iron give morganites their pale pink color. It's steadily becoming one of the more popular beryl variants. And interesting to point out it got it's name in honor of the American banker JP Morgan, who had a consuming passion for collecting rare minerals and gemstones.
Inset are trilliant cut orangey-pink morganite earrings with diamonds and London blue topaz briolettes as detachable drop set in white gold. As part of the Orientalism collection. More pieces in store at Aum Jewels Trinoma and at Firma Greenbelt 3.
Thanks to all who came to the launch! KDee and I are truly grateful to see people appreciate our work. My new pieces are now available in Aum Jewels and will update you very soon when new items will also be made available at Firma Greenbelt 3.
Inset top are earrings of African rubies encircled with diamonds and textured gold with carved natural Persian turquoise drops. Very nice and even colored pair of turquoises without the black veining. A favorite.
And inset above are earrings of square cushion phrenites, iolites and natural Persian turquoise cabochons. The color motif I got inspiration from hues of celadon. These are nice big studs.
I tried to interpret the Orientalism theme in a not so literal way. Focusing more on concepts such as auspiciousness and celebratory colors. Also patterns of lucky symbols. It's contemporary, colorful and quite lively, this collection.
A one-day-only special trunk show happens on October 13, 2PM at Chef Jessie at the Rockwell Club. Hope to see you there!
Inset on top are earrings of mandarin garnets, pink tourmalines and diamonds set in yellow gold. Bottom picture shows a bracelet of rose cut rock crystal and rutilated quartz with an endless knot in a pave of white diamonds; also set in gold.
Honored and humbled once again to be part of this charity event. It's the perfect way to give and receive. Online auction runs from Oct 1 to 7, 2012 and you only have to register for free on eBay.ph to be able to take home some great pieces by great Filipino artisans. Above is my necklace titled "Amorphous". With pave of mixed colored sapphires and carnelian hoops set in vermeil.
I release a new collection this October 13, along with Kristine Dee, with an Orientalism theme. It'll be a special one day only trunk show at Chef Jessie at the Rockwell Club. A really casual afternoon tea banquet. So please save the date and hope you can make it. I'll be posting preview pictures of upcoming pieces soon!
Well it does sort of look like a Mobius strip. It just sounds cool, right? As cool as the couple who commissioned these bespoke rings. They had wanted their bands to look just as striking when worn. Because when put together, the rings form an infinity symbol.
Quite simple-looking but was quite the task making it as it had to be precise. The "ber" months are coming and for the Philippines it basically signals wedding season (mostly in December and not in June as most people think). A great time of the year to get married.
A monochromatic combination of some very orange mandarin garnets and faceted Mexican fire opals; set with diamonds in between and in yellow gold. Great play of luster and transparencies. The more brilliant ovals are the garnets and the more translucent gems are the opals. A lively ring; not so large yet creates some considerable impact.
